Apply the primer slightly thicker on the lid, allow to become slightly tacky, then press — rather than sweep — the foiled shadow directly into the primer using a flat eyeshadow brush or fingertip. Pressing rather than sweeping maximizes metallic particle adherence and delivers the most intense foiled finish possible.
